Blanking

Is a combination of cut to length and slitting. It occurs when you get sheets of varying in length and width often called blanks hence the term Blanking.

We comply with ISO 9001/2000 Quality standards.

  • We have 4 guillotines with which to service the industry and are able to cut thicknesses up to 6,0mm.
  • All material can be packaged to customer specifications.
  • We have a mini cut to length machine which can blank to very tight tolerances.
  • The minimum width per blank:
The minimum width per blank on the Shearcut steel processing line is 76mm.
  • The maximum width per blank:
The maximum width per blank on the Shearcut steel processing line is 1800mm.
  • The minimum length per blank:
The minimum length per blank on the Shearcut steel processing line is 300mm for blanking and CTL.
  • Shearcut’s packaging limitations:
The maximum amount that can be packaged is 3500kg per pallet. This is dependent on the length of the sheet. Minimum orders in terms of tonnage:
Shearcut does not have a minimum order cap but there is a fee of R 250 per restrap and R 250 for coils under 5 tons.
Specifications are as follows:
