Overview:

The Optishear offers precision CNC blanking of mildsteel medium gauge sheet. The versatile 90degree arrangement of the shear blades eliminate typical nesting losses seen with laser cutting. Scrap losses are kept to a minimum with automatic nesting calculations. The machine is able to handle multiple blank sizes off the same input sheet.

Multi Blanking:

Our American built Red Bud Cut To Length Line features an in-line CNC slitterhead for high speed precision blanking. The machine configuration allows for precision leveling of coil, slitting to multiple widths and shearing to length all in one efficient operation. The thickness range offered is 0.5mm to 2.5mm with the minimum blanking width of 76mm.

Batch Blanking:

We are able to offer multi-size precision blanks off our CNC Optishear blanking machine. This operation provides for cut to length sheet to be individually blanked to customer specifications with no web scrap losses. Unlike multi-blanking multiple blank sizes can be obtained from a single sheet. The nesting options are done automatically on the machine to minimize scrap losses. Scrap is confined to edge cutting only. The thickness range offered is 0.5mm to 4.5mm within a maximum sheet size of 1550mm x 2450mm.
